The commandment of challah
Positive Numbers 15:20
Human life depends on food, and most of the world lives on bread, so God wished to give us a constant mitzvah in our bread, so that blessing would rest on it and we would gain merit for our souls through it. In this way the dough becomes food for the body and food for the soul. Also, so that the kohanim, who are always occupied in God's service, would receive their portion ready, without the toil of sifting and grinding.

The commandment of fringes
Positive Numbers 15:38
The root of the mitzvah is stated in the verse - that we remember all of God's mitzvot at all times, and there is no better reminder than one's master's seal fixed on the garment one wears all day. The sages said that the word tzitzit alludes to the 613 mitzvot, together with the eight threads and the five knots. The author of the Chinuch adds that the white alludes to the body, which comes from the earth, and the blue, which resembles the sky and the Throne of Glory, alludes to the soul, to say that a person's body and soul alike belong to God.

To not wander after the thoughts of the heart and the vision of the eyes
Negative Numbers 15:39
This mitzvah guards a person from sin all his days, and it is a great foundation of the faith, for evil thoughts are the fathers of impurity and deeds are their offspring. One transgression leads to another and one mitzvah leads to another - whoever follows his desire once will be drawn after it again, and whoever conquers his inclination once will find it easier to conquer it again. Desire draws the flesh as wine draws those who drink it, and one who keeps away from it rejoices in his portion all his days.
